Scale Academy prepares candidates for the Advanced Federal Diploma exam in Supply Chain Management

Two specialisations, one shared foundation

Scale Academy is the training brand of Scale Network. It offers preparatory courses for the Advanced Federal Diploma exam as a certified Supply Chain Manager.

Participants can choose between two specialisations:

Digital integration

This specialisation is for people who want to develop supply chains digitally. The focus is on ERP, EDI and data exchange along the supply chain.

Corporate logistics

This one is about responsibility for logistics and the supply chain within a company. It suits specialists and managers who design, steer and develop logistics processes.

The course includes both specialisations. The foundation programme is identical, and participants only choose their specialisation from module 3. So they decide later in which specialisation they take the exam.

Blended Learning, personal support

The course runs as Blended Learning on Scale Campus, the learning platform of Scale Academy. There is no mandatory attendance on site: the class meets online every three weeks on Tuesday evening. Learning happens in three week sprints, based on Scrum. Two company visits on site are optional.

Groups are kept deliberately small. This leaves room for questions, discussion and exchange with other professionals. Special attention is given to the status report. Participants receive support in writing it, because the status report is both an admission requirement and part of the exam.

Who conducts the exam

The exam is conducted by the sponsoring body GS1 Switzerland. Scale Academy handles the preparation and supports participants along the way.

Federal contributions for preparatory courses

The Confederation refunds 50% of the eligible course fees. For an Advanced Federal Diploma exam, a federal contribution of up to CHF 10'500 is possible.

Which requirements apply and how to claim the refund is explained on the Scale Academy page.
